Remember that Nash Brennan character from One Life To Live? How about Jesse Killmartin from the TV version of X-Men? Maybe the "Cougars" guy from CSI? Oh wait... Scott Chandler from All My Children? 

Well... that was me.

But then somehow I ended up buying a farm in the Catskills, bought a tractor, started fly-fishing, planted a garden, traded in my silk-scarf for a pair of heavy-boots and when the producers at ABC offered me a promotion to Director, I chose to quit Hollywood and start a firewood business instead.

From Hollywood to Firewood... 

Now I own and operate The New York Firewood Company. We have been the focus of feature articles in Bon Appetite, The New Yorker, and DV8 magazine, I have a crew of employees, an awesome chain of vendors, and my regular clients have become some of my closest friends.

I definitely did not choose the path of least resistance, but I did chose a path of great pride.

We produce the best firewood in the United States, and while it took me some time to figure out how to do it, I'm pretty sure we offer the best service as well.

I have worked with dozens and dozens of local Sullivan County residents and worked to help them move up the socio economic ladder one bundle of firewood at a time and while not many of my efforts were successful- most were failures- I am proud of the successes. While some of our employees have not ended well, some went on to become nurses, start their own businesses, start humanitarian projects and charities. We count a few decorated soldiers in our alumni. It was always about them and about me learning something I couldn't find in a makeup chair...

But back to firewood. If you order from us, your wood will be perfect. If its not, we will come out and swap it out. I guarantee it.

We will communicate with you up to and including a call 20 minutes before delivery so you don't have to wait around for hours while we fight traffic and unanticipated obstacles at prior deliveries, my employees will be polite, grateful, and helpful.

I will do everything I know how, to make this the best firewood experience I can imagine.
